The "Love Drug" in Chocolate

Updated: Jul 22, 2019

Yes, it's true -- chocolate is good for you in all kind of ways! That's the word from CNN CNN's medical correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, in a recent report.

Among other things, it contains anandamide, a chemical which blocks pain and depression. Chocolate also contains caffeine and theobromine, two stimulants.

Finally, there's phenolphthalein another brain stimulant -- which is better known as the "love drug" because it's one of the neurotransmitters we release when we're in love.
